Sarah Elliott Fine Art
Originals, prints & greeting cards. Painted, Printed, Produced & Packaged all in West Cork, Ireland. I print all my prints and mount / frame all my own originals & prints. After studying art at school, I didn't paint again until 2013 when my partner and I decided that we would move to West Cork to be closer to his family. Once here, it didn’t take long for me to feel completely at home. With the beauty and vibrant colours of West Cork surrounding me, the urge to paint took hold once again. I am a self taught artist. I love subtlety of colour, tone & texture & primarily use acrylics, watercolour & chalk pastels. The landscape, seascape & wildlife of West Cork are truly breathtaking and the inspiration for my work.

Allow me to introduce myself. I’m a busy Mam of two living in the beautiful Hill of Down, Co Meath next to the Royal Canal Greenway. I’m a native of Edenderry, Offaly. In my former career I had an undergraduate degree in Social studies and was studying for a degree in forensic psychology. Most of my career I spent managing a youth justice project supporting vulnerable teenagers. However all of that changed when I took a career break to spend time with my young children. My outlook completely changed and my priorities did too. I have always been a creative soul and find pure joy in making with my own hands. So with huge family support I established my own little business – The Clay Conifer and have never been happier. My goal is to be Irelands ‘go to’ small business to shop for the highest quality handmade clay gifts for all occasions.

I have collected coins for some time and have had an interest in coins since I was a child. I now share that interest with my own children. I began to think of ways to give new life to old coins that are not of significant interest to collectors. Coins that have a high mintage and therefore are of less interest to collectors. I made myself a keyring from one of my favourite of these types of coins (the pre decimal half crown) in 2022 and from there it began. Others asked me to make key rings from coins that they like and I started to make keyrings as a hobby. I started making pieces of jewellery with coins and continue to try and think of different ways to create with vintage coins to give them new life and keep part of our history alive. In 2024 I started working with silver and copper. All of my hand made silver jewellery is made with 999 fine silver. All of my copper jewellery is made with 999 copper. Both types of metals are 100% recycled material.

Welcome to my world of creativity! My name is Jacinta Callaghan, and I am delighted to share a glimpse of my journey with you. Nestled in the picturesque village of Kerrykeel, Co Donegal, I thrive in an environment that fuels my passion for both hairdressing and art. For as long as I can remember, I have been captivated by the world of art. From drawing and painting to knitting, crocheting, sewing, baking, and cooking, creativity has always been at the heart of my life. Over the years, this passion has only grown stronger, allowing me to explore and master various artistic mediums. The lockdown period two years ago was a pivotal time for me. It offered me the precious gift of time—time to dive deeper into my artistic pursuits and create a unique line of merchandise. During this period, I also ventured into the beautiful landscapes around me, capturing moments with my camera that would later inspire my paintings. While I enjoy working with watercolours and acrylics, my heart now belongs to oil painting. I am thrilled to dedicate my Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays entirely to my art. These days are filled with the joy of painting and designing a variety of merchandise. My artworks have found their way onto mugs, chopping boards, coasters, slate, cushions, key rings, and baubles, each piece reflecting a part of my creative journey. From Thursday to Saturday, I return to my other passion—hairdressing. In my salon, I embrace the opportunity to connect with my clients, bringing out their best through the art of hairdressing. This balance between art and hairdressing allows me to enjoy the best of both worlds, enriching my life with diverse forms of creativity. Thank you for visiting my page. I invite you to explore my artwork and perhaps find a piece that speaks to you. Whether it's a painting, a beautifully designed mug, or a unique key ring, I hope my creations bring as much joy to your life as they do to mine. Warm regards, Jacinta Callaghan
Read MoreConvert
Thanks for stopping by, this is the Convert story. Did you know it can take 20,000 litres of water to make the cotton fabric for a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, roughly the same amount an average Irish citizen uses in 5 months? Did you know that in Europe, every second the equivalent of one garbage truck of textiles is incinerated or sent to landfill? Did you know the fashion industry is responsible for 10 % of annual global carbon emissions, more than all international flights and maritime shipping combined? Maybe you do. A couple of years ago I didn’t, but when I did the idea for Convert was born. I am Hannah the creator behind Convert. I have a background in textiles and I love the challenge of taking a preloved textile and giving it a new life as something else. All Convert products contain at least 70% upcycled fabric by weight. I don’t buy something brand new and “repurpose” it, I will always be transparent when I have used a new element and all of my product descriptions identify the % of upcycled fabric it contains. All fabric scraps get re-worked into some of the Convert product range to aim for zero-waste production. Convert sustainable textile creations for living and gifting are handcrafted in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. If you have any queries send me a message or email me at [email protected] Thank you for reading!

Here you will find some beautiful pieces of handmade jewelry perfect as a gift for yourself and your loved ones. My small shop is proud to offer you a small, but lovely collection of Murano glass jewelry and an ever growing collection of Semi-precious stone jewelry, which is my main focus and a big passion. Components used with Murano glass and Semi-precious stones to create this jewelry you will love are made from metal alloys, mostly stainless steel. All the models are designed from my ideas, made patiently, with love and big focus on details. Through this small shop, my main goal is to introduce to you the beauty of nature that was given to us through the Semi-precious stones and to send out the powerful message that we are one with the nature and that we should embrace that unity so we can all be the best versions of ourselves. Semi-precious stones are my safe haven and with them I can escape from reality and connect with reality at the same time. So, for me, this shop is a place where the energy gets its meaning, and nothing means more than love.
