Rocks and Paper by Amelia

Hello, My name is Amelia and I’m thrilled you found my shop. If you are reading this it’s hopefully because you like it :-)Originally from Spain, I moved to Ireland over 20 years ago, where I worked for many years and met my fabulous Cork man (my rock!) with whom I have two little boys (my associates…well, my partners in crime!) Although a woman of science, I inherited an artistic vein from my parents: I got the love for nature from my mum, while my dad passed on to me a fascination for all things paper. I started crafting with my eldest son (Lucky L), while my youngest (Dino D) had his naps, just the usual things to entertain a toddler like painting smiles on a rock, in fact my first logo was created with Lucky L. Now the three amigos go out together on a nature hunt & come back home with lots of treasure: branches, leaves, seeds, rocks, pebbles, sea glass, feathers, moss…we sit at the table and we let ourselves create. The mind of child is amazing and I find myself asking for their opinion on my creations…and I’m the adult haha! Anyway, I hope our little story put a smile on your face and thanks for stopping by! Keep on smiling, love Amelia

Sarah Elliott Fine Art

Originals, prints & greeting cards. Painted, Printed, Produced & Packaged all in West Cork, Ireland. I print all my prints and mount / frame all my own originals & prints. After studying art at school, I didn't paint again until 2013 when my partner and I decided that we would move to West Cork to be closer to his family. Once here, it didn’t take long for me to feel completely at home. With the beauty and vibrant colours of West Cork surrounding me, the urge to paint took hold once again. I am a self taught artist. I love subtlety of colour, tone & texture & primarily use acrylics, watercolour & chalk pastels. The landscape, seascape & wildlife of West Cork are truly breathtaking and the inspiration for my work.

Alzera Design

Alzera design is a husband and wife team. We started out in dad’s garage as a hobby with a dream to one day make this our future. After moving to Ireland in 2017 we found it very hard to be in a new country away from family and friends. We quickly discovered that the Irish climate is not as sunny as we are used to and had to find a way to keep ourselves busy during the long Irish winter and dreary Rainy days. Finally after 2 years an opportunity presented itself and our adventures began. Alzera Design was created. Creating jewelry is our way of expressing ourselves and a way to speak our minds. We use sterling silver as our main medium and always look around for new fun materials to incorporate in our next jewelry piece. We officially registered our company in 2019. We loved designing jewelry so much we wanted to share it with the world and decided to take our hobby a step further. Alzera design is a unique twist to everyday jewelry. We create modern pieces for the ordinary, bold and courageous individual. With the pieces we make we do not only use sterling silver but combine it with mixed material such as wood, resin and recycled materials as well as different alloys such as Zirconium. Because every piece is hand made no piece will ever look the same. We are proud that our pieces are made individually, every piece is different. By supporting Alzera Design you know that the design u are wearing is truly unique and won’t be found mass produced in every store. By supporting Alzera design you also support local and make an individual smile and dance.

The Clay Conifer

Allow me to introduce myself. I’m a busy Mam of two living in the beautiful Hill of Down, Co Meath next to the Royal Canal Greenway. I’m a native of Edenderry, Offaly. In my former career I had an undergraduate degree in Social studies and was studying for a degree in forensic psychology. Most of my career I spent managing a youth justice project supporting vulnerable teenagers. However all of that changed when I took a career break to spend time with my young children. My outlook completely changed and my priorities did too. I have always been a creative soul and find pure joy in making with my own hands. So with huge family support I established my own little business – The Clay Conifer and have never been happier. My goal is to be Irelands ‘go to’ small business to shop for the highest quality handmade clay gifts for all occasions.

Cuige Coins and Crafts

I have collected coins for some time and have had an interest in coins since I was a child. I now share that interest with my own children. I began to think of ways to give new life to old coins that are not of significant interest to collectors. Coins that have a high mintage and therefore are of less interest to collectors. I made myself a keyring from one of my favourite of these types of coins (the pre decimal half crown) in 2022 and from there it began. Others asked me to make key rings from coins that they like and I started to make keyrings as a hobby. I started making pieces of jewellery with coins and continue to try and think of different ways to create with vintage coins to give them new life and keep part of our history alive. In 2024 I started working with silver. All of my hand made silver jewellery is made with 999 fine silver.

Jacinta Callaghan Art

Welcome to my world of creativity! My name is Jacinta Callaghan, and I am delighted to share a glimpse of my journey with you. Nestled in the picturesque village of Kerrykeel, Co Donegal, I thrive in an environment that fuels my passion for both hairdressing and art. For as long as I can remember, I have been captivated by the world of art. From drawing and painting to knitting, crocheting, sewing, baking, and cooking, creativity has always been at the heart of my life. Over the years, this passion has only grown stronger, allowing me to explore and master various artistic mediums. The lockdown period two years ago was a pivotal time for me. It offered me the precious gift of time—time to dive deeper into my artistic pursuits and create a unique line of merchandise. During this period, I also ventured into the beautiful landscapes around me, capturing moments with my camera that would later inspire my paintings. While I enjoy working with watercolours and acrylics, my heart now belongs to oil painting. I am thrilled to dedicate my Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays entirely to my art. These days are filled with the joy of painting and designing a variety of merchandise. My artworks have found their way onto mugs, chopping boards, coasters, slate, cushions, key rings, and baubles, each piece reflecting a part of my creative journey. From Thursday to Saturday, I return to my other passion—hairdressing. In my salon, I embrace the opportunity to connect with my clients, bringing out their best through the art of hairdressing. This balance between art and hairdressing allows me to enjoy the best of both worlds, enriching my life with diverse forms of creativity. Thank you for visiting my page. I invite you to explore my artwork and perhaps find a piece that speaks to you. Whether it's a painting, a beautifully designed mug, or a unique key ring, I hope my creations bring as much joy to your life as they do to mine. Warm regards, Jacinta Callaghan
