Rodgerson Handcraft

Hello and thanks for visiting my shop! Welcome to my sewed products and knitted creations! I’m an avid knitter and sewer, which comes as no surprise as I’ve grown up in a home filled with sewing machines and knitting needles. My mum made clothes for myself and my sister. My Aunts Shirley, Eileen, and Katie and both Granny’s Isobel and Catherine were all talented home sewers and knitters. To say these skills are in my blood would be an understatement. I love the idea that items we sew and knit can become treasured items. I love bright, colourful and fun fabrics. I hope this translates through the fabrics I choose in creating my post breast surgery pillows, car accessory bags and table accessories. Being part of the this community and having a shop here allows me to have the world at my doorstep and I am so grateful for the platform it has given me. I pride myself on the quality of my work. I hope you enjoy my sewed and knitted creations as much as I’ve enjoy making them. Thanks so much for reading this biography, Mary Rodge

Magnetic Mobility

Our aim at Magnetic Mobility is to provide you with the means necessary to live your best life pain free. We believe that every person manages their pain differently and we hope to help you manage it better. Over the next few years we will be launching products specifically designed to make your everyday life easier and move you away from pain so that you can live your best life. Our Story Hello! We are Ciara and Judith Jacob. We started our journey into the world of business with an idea in 2020. Having both worked in the medical field for many many years ( a combined and slightly frightening 40+ years) we both had many, many achy joints, bad backs, creaky knees, all the usual war wounds of working in healthcare. Basically between us we felt like a box of lego, in bits! So after 5 back surgeries, 1 shoulder surgery, a diagnosis of osteoporosis and arthritis and while heading into a future with the promise of impending knee surgery, Judith and I decided to take a side step and use our personal experience of pain to help and empower others who also refuse to let pain stop them living their life to the max. During the chaos and the stress of 2020, in what can only be described as the busiest year of my healthcare career, where I needed to be on my A game every single day, Brain fog struck! Yes, after 5 years of being Migraine free I had 2 consecutive months of Migraine attacks, leading to severe brain fog, utter exhaustion and constant nausea. My Mum gave me a Magnetic Bracelet and within 2 weeks I was fully functional again! I couldn’t believe it! I wanted to shout it from the rooftops! Judith and I decided to test out the range of Magnetic bracelets. Judith has had 5 spinal surgeries over the past 10 years, had arthritis in her back and woke up feeling like a 90 year old every single day. We had recently taken up hiking, (because she’s a bit stubborn about letting her pain stopping her) but the hiking was causing the cartilage in her knees to be unhappy. She was diagnosed with runners’ knees and the possibility of needing knee surgery once the hospitals opened up fully. So, we sourced another Magnetic Bracelet and within 2 weeks her knee had stopped creaking and she no longer felt like a 90 year old! That was it, idea seeded! We wanted to get one for everyone we knew who had daily pain! But we couldn’t find any pretty, well made bracelets to suit our style. So we started researching, and trying out different suppliers. Eventually we found the perfect combination of style and function made with excellent craftsmanship. Now we are ready to share with the world this incredible feeling of relief and freedom from pain! We invite you to look around, find your perfect style, and sign up to our newsletter so you can join us on our journey over the next few years!

Helen Marry Stained Glass

Helen Marry grew up on a family farm near to Newgrange in the very heart of Ireland’s historical Boyne valley and from an early age produced handcrafts for sale in her mother’s craft shop. She trained originally as an agriculturalist and subsequently worked in community and adult education before taking time out to concentrate on her family. During this time at home Helen developed further her passion for crafts and focussed particularly on stained glass, taking a number of courses in the discipline. Having initially produced pieces for family and friends Helen has decided to share her work with a wider audience. Helens work is strongly influenced by the art of the great Neolithic cemetery in the bend of the Boyne, where she still lives and works. All the pieces are original designs, are hand-cut, hand-joined and finished by Helen in her home studio beside the passage grave of Knowth. Her colours are those of nature, soft greens and blues enlivened by reds and yellows, the lines in her work are reminiscent of the curves of the great tumulus in the shadow of which it is created.

Three Rock Glass Art

My name is Paula and I am the person behind Three Rock Glass Art.  It is a one woman stained glass craft business. I have been creating pieces for 10 years and love the whole process. I use the Tiffany technique. Each piece of glass is hand cut, foiled and burnished. The pieces are then soldered together and the final part is waxing and polishing. To keep the nice shine a quick gentle clean with a spray polish (like Mr. Sheen) and a quick buff should do.   I take pride in every piece, and I'm delighted to share my passion for stained glass craftsmanship with you.

Raw Botanicals

Hi I am Sandra O’Connell, Naturopath, Herbalist, Aromatherapist and an Iridologist originally from Australia and married an Irish Man who led me to Ireland, which I now call home. I make herbal balms and creams from foraged plants and some that are sourced from local growers and are infused with the herbs. All are hand made and hand poured with organic, or natural herbs and essential oils, with no added nasty preservatives. I also hand make and sew wheat bags and eye pillows. My making of the wheat bags and eye pillow started when a very good friend of mine got diagnosed with Cancer. She was in a lot of pain and I said for her to use my wheat bag, as I have had mine for almost 15 years. She fell in love with it, not only did it help ease the pain, however, it also helped her sleep better, due to the smell of the lavender. I searched high and low in Ireland for a wheat bag, however, I only found one when I was back in Australia on holidays, and brought one home. I wanted to help more people benefit from them, as I have used mine for years, for period pain and back pain. Hence my sewing career began, and I started to make the wheat bags along with the eyepillows. They are made from natural lavender, some of the lavender we grow and also contain organic wheat. Lavender is an incredible herb that is great to help unwind the mind. It has been also reported to help lower cortisol levels, helps with anxiety, stress, migraines and sinus. Lavender improves the symptoms of sinus congestion, by reducing the pain and swelling.  All Raw Botanical products are handmade in Co Limerick by Sandra O'Connell using 100% organic ingredients. Raw Botanical products do not contain Synthetic fragrance, palm oil, or harmful chemicals. Sustainable packaging is used. Our products are not tested on animals and are cruelty free.  Individual responses to the balms may vary, so it's always a good idea to perform a patch test before applying any new product to a larger area of the skin.  Along with my balms I make a range of room mists, herbal formulations and flower essence drops.
