Sustainable, fun and colourful decorations for your Christmas tree!
Convert Fabric Origami Ornaments have been made using a duo of fun jewel-bright upcycled fabrics and the flower-like shape is finished with a shiny golden button and twine sourced from small independent suppliers.
In a past life the purple and teal fabrics were bedding, now carefully cleaned and reworked to be given a second life spreading some festive cheer! The button and gold twine used to complete this ornament was sourced from small independent retailers.
Sold individually.
When packing away your Christmas decorations, to avoid your ornament getting creased in storage please lay flat and ideally in a small rigid box such as the one you will receive your order in.
Each ornament is handcrafted and unique, no two are quite the same. This item is not a toy and keep away from sources of heat.
Measurements (all approximate):

Thanks for stopping by, this is the Convert story.
Did you know it can take 20,000 litres of water to make the cotton fabric for a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, roughly the same amount an average Irish citizen uses in 5 months?
Did you know that in Europe, every second the equivalent of one garbage truck of textiles is incinerated or sent to landfill?
Did you know the fashion industry is responsible for 10 % of annual global carbon emissions, more than all international flights and maritime shipping combined?
Maybe you do. A couple of years ago I didn’t, but when I did the idea for Convert was born.
I am Hannah the creator behind Convert. I have a background in textiles and I love the challenge of taking a preloved textile and giving it a new life as something else. All Convert products contain at least 70% upcycled fabric by weight.
I don’t buy something brand new and “repurpose” it, I will always be transparent when I have used a new element and all of my product descriptions identify the % of upcycled fabric it contains.
All fabric scraps get re-worked into some of the Convert product range to aim for zero-waste production.
Convert sustainable textile creations for living and gifting are handcrafted in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.
